While often it feels like getting an answer other then, “Church was good” out of our littles is impossible, our hope is to help bridge that gap with specific and open ended questions to help you be the primary influence in what your child is learning at church by aiding in your conversations at home. These questions are based directly on what they talked about in small group and how the lesson relates to their formation each week.

10/4 - The Big Picnic 1

This week we started a new series by introducing the story of Jesus feeding the 5000.

Ask This:

  1. What problems are too big for God?
  2. Who didn’t have enough money to buy bread for everyone?
  3. Was the little boy’s lunch big enough to feed everyone?
  4. Who thanked God for the bread and the fish?
  5. How many people ate the bread and fish?
10/11 - The Big Picnic 2

Continuing with the story of Jesus feeding the 5000 we focused in again on what Jesus did with a few fishes and loafs.

Ask This:

  1. Is there a song you liked in church?
  2. In your Bible story today, who gave the bread and fish to everyone?
  3. The boy gave his lunch to Jesus. What can you give to Jesus?
  4. What do you think is the biggest thing God ever made?
  5. What problems are too big for God?
10/18 - The Big Picnic 3

This week we discussed Jesus feeding the 5000 and how there is nothing too big for God.

Ask This:

  1. Who’s the funnest leader in your room?
  2. In your Bible story today, how many people at the bread and fish?
  3. Jesus thanked God for the food, what do you thank God for?
10/25 - The Big Picnic 4

This week we discussed Jesus feeding the 5000 and ended the series by focusing on how nothing is too big for God.

Ask This:

  1. What is one thing you remember from church?
  2. In your Bible story today, how much bread and fish did everyone eat?
  3. Jesus’ disciples shared food with everyone. Who do you share with?
