Ask This:
While often it feels like getting an answer other then, “Church was good” out of our littles is impossible, our hope is to help bridge that gap with specific and open ended questions to help you bridge the gap between what your child is learning at church and your conversations at home. These questions are based directly on what they talked about in small group and how the lesson relates to their formation each week.
Week 1 - 08/16
Ask This:
- Name one thing you like about someone in your class.
- What did you enjoy doing with your leader?
- Sharing Jesus with the whole world is too hard for one person to do alone. Why do you think God gave us a mission like that?
Week 2 - 08/23
Ask This:
- What kinds of words do you think sound like loud gongs or noisy cymbals?
- What kinds of words show love to others?
- What do you think people can learn from you when you act loving toward them?
Week 3 - 08/30
Ask This:
- What do you think someone means when they say, “Live like Jesus”?
- What do you think is good about living like Jesus?
- What might happen if you don’t live like Jesus, but you try to teach others how to follow Jesus?
